What a gorgeous weekend...

After a LONG and HOT summer the weather has finally cooled off. We took the quads out for a day of riding in the sun. It was so nice out, I forgot to wear sunscreen and ended up with a sunburn...but it was worth it!

Joshua can DANCE!

We met Elizabeth and Josie for Dinner and the So You Think You Can Dance Tour. We saw all of our favorite dancers including...JOSHUA :) After following the TV series, it was fun to see them in person and see all of the incredible jumps and stunts that they can do.

So much for the Window Seat...

This past week I celebrated my 10 year "telecommuting" anniversary. I remember the conversation with my boss just like it was yesterday. He reluctantly agreed to give it a trial run with the caveat that if someone wanted my window office I would have to move to an inner cube and lose my window. I happily agreed thinking no one would lay claim on my office....within three weeks I was told that I had to move to an inner cube...someone who worked in the office full time wanted my coveted window office. It was truly a BUMMER but I was so happy to be telecommuting that I didn't mind. I have had held 5 different positions since that time, with 5 different bosses, in 5 different offices...but the telecommuting has always prevented me from getting a WINDOW back.

About a month ago I was was lucky enough to move back into an office on the 21st floor with a beautiful view. It has been wonderful! Check out the great view...it's a wonder I get any work done when I'm there.

THEN on Friday(start violin music now)....I come into the office....and LOOK what I SEE!

The new building across the street will be 26 floors high!!!! I get to keep the window but I will soon see the building instead of the Valley. Do you feel sorry for me?? Did the violin music help? I still get a sliver of a view but what a disappointment...

Jessie the future "Iron Chef"

I found a recipe for Panda Express Orange Chicken. It was quite intimidating with like 50 ingredients and many hours prep time. Our "Master Chef Jessica" marinated, chopped, chopped some more, breaded and fried this delicious meal. It really tasted EXACTLY like Panda Express. She is quite gifted in the kitchen and I predict one day soon she'll challenge Bobby Flay and WIN Iron Chef!

Amanda the Keeper

Man were they on fire!...literally... I always dread the first game of the season because of the heat...and was it HOT! We were all crowded under one small tree trying to stay in the shade. Amanda did a great job playing goalie and her team won 2 to 1, so it was a good day!!!

What a RELIEF!

Today was the day! I've been working months on coordinating my first large event, an Economic Luncheon for 150 customers. The resort was beautiful, lunch was super YUMMY and best of all ...the day went off without a hitch! Maybe my next profession will be party planning...although I had nightmares all night that the speaker missed his flight from New York.

Table setting with gifts. (a wireless mouse with company logo)

The gorgeous lobby. The picture doesn't do it justice.

Back of the room, It was hard to get the whole room in the picture (was using my iPhone) but there were 16 of these tables.
